Blackboard Labs provides free weekly writing, recording and beat-making classes to Philadelphia youth aged 13-19 focused around modern hip-hop culture. We provide a safe space that promotes positive growth and enriches our students’ lives. We are growing and our impact is constantly changing.
We currently offer the following services:
- free writing, recording and beat making workshops
- free youth mentoring and community building
- access to open mic nights and live performance opportunities
- free education about the history of hip-hop
